Breast Surgery
Breast Reduction
Breast hypertrophy can cause significant back and shoulder pain, rashes, and affect function. Although breast reduction is one of the most common procedures in plastic surgery, each patient is unique and the surgery must be tailored to meet the needs of each individual. During the initial consultation, we will cover the symptoms you have been experiencing, personal goals, and Dr. Yeung will perform a thorough physical exam. This procedure is covered by OHIP and an application must be submitted for approval before surgery.

Breast Lift or Mastopexy
With aging, the skin around the breast becomes looser and the breast glandular tissue starts changing into fatty tissue instead. This causes the breast to become more "ptotic" and droop along with the nipple areolar complex. The goal of a breast lift or mastopexy procedure is to tighten the breast skin and re-shape the contour of the new breast mound.

Inverted Nipple Correction
Inverted nipples are quite common. People can have one or both nipples affected, and often make patients feel self-conscious or experience issues like irritation. There are safe and effective correction options available. The procedure is quick and typically done under local anesthesia. Recovery is relatively easy, with minor swelling and minimal downtime. Whether or not you will be able to maintain the ability to breastfeed depends on the severity of inversion. Book your consultation with Dr. Yeung to get further information on this common condition.

Areola Reduction
Areola Reduction is a cosmetic or reconstructive (among breast cancer patients) surgical procedure that reduces the diameter of the pigmented skin surrounding the nipple — the areola — to achieve a more proportionate and symmetric appearance. It is a safe, effective procedure and can be performed alone or combined with other breast procedures. This procedure is typically done with minimal downtime. A small circular scar is hidden along the natural edge of the areola and usually fades well over time.
